Originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Steve began his professional journey in 1996 after earning an Associate's Degree in Commercial Art/Graphic Design. His early career spanned roles in advertising, training, and web design, where he quickly built a reputation for transforming creative concepts into impactful campaigns and solutions. Known for improving workflows and mentoring creative teams, he helped organizations streamline production processes, strengthen their visual communication, and deliver client-focused results that elevated brand presence both online and in print.
In early 2000, soon after the Y2K debacle, Steve launched his design business, Design Highway, creating websites and printed products for small businesses — a venture he continues to this day. What began as a small creative outlet quickly evolved into a full-service design studio known for crafting visually compelling and highly functional digital and print solutions. Over the years, Steve has partnered with clients in industries ranging from retail and real estate to yachting, healthcare, and technology, always tailoring his approach to meet the unique goals of each brand. His work is defined by a commitment to clean, user-focused design, strong visual storytelling, and a collaborative process that helps businesses build meaningful connections with their audiences.
In 2014, Steve joined Apple and within his first year, he was promoted to Tier 2 Senior Advisor, taking on advanced technical responsibilities while also contributing his creative expertise to internal design projects. Over the years, he has participated in career experiences and rotations focused on communications and design, further expanding his impact within Apple. In 2024, Steve earned the AppleCare Excellence Award, an honor given to the top 5% of advisors worldwide, recognizing his outstanding performance, innovation, and customer experience.
What motivates Steve most is seeing the impact his work has on others — from helping small businesses find their visual voice to creating designs that resonate with audiences on a deeper level. He finds joy in the creative process itself, but even more in the relationships and stories behind every project. It's this mix of creativity, collaboration, and purpose that drives him to do what he loves every single day.
Based in Raleigh, NC for the past 15 years, Steve is a passionate designer and lifelong creative who thrives on bringing ideas to life visually — whether it's developing a brand identity, crafting engaging digital experiences, or designing standout print pieces. Outside of work, he enjoys playing competitive billiards, traveling to new destinations, watching NFL football, and exploring new creative projects that keep his imagination sharp. He shares his life with his wife, Kim, and their spirited miniature pinscher, Maple, who often inspires his playful approach to design and storytelling.
